The death toll has risen to 1,100, with more than 30,000 injured. The rescue teams have told *The Islamic Information* that the death toll will continue to grow in the upcoming days.

Waterborne diseases have [broken out](https://www.dawn.com/news/1707408) in the flood-affected areas, **which could kill the same population as the floods**.

With most nearby hospitals completely underwater, rescue is impossible in the upper parts of the KPK, Sindh, and Baluchistan provinces.

The unstoppable rain in the region caused the disaster. The country faces the worst-ever inflation as **80% of the crops and cattle farms have been destroyed**.
