Families of Coronavirus Patients have been stopped to perform the Umrah and Hajj pilgrimage for a year to stop the spread of Coronavirus.

The families include the people who were or are in direct contact with the coronavirus patients, such as brother-sister, mother, wife, and in-laws.

Not just those people but the Saudi Arabian ministry have also stopped the umrah for people who were admitted into the hospital due to many diseases such as High Blood Pressure, Diabetes, Cirrhosis, Obesity, and Coronary artery disease.

These steps are being taken to protect the pilgrims coming from all around the world, as of now, a number of pilgrims have performed Umrah and none of them have been tested positive for the Novel Coronavirus.

Ministry of Health of Saudi Arabia has been taking every possible measure to protect the holy sites (Masjid al-Haram and Masjid an Nabawi) away from the virus. And 24/7 sanitization process is further making the holy mosques free from every sort of bacteria.

Recently, Sheikh al Sudais also launched a Robot to sanitize the Masjid al-Haram, ensuring the protection of the pilgrims, Pilgrims have started coming from all around the world, but the Indian pilgrims are still banned due to rising coronavirus cases in the country.

While other countries have the access to the holy sites to perform Umrah, all pilgrims have to sign up through the App called “Eternama” to get themselves registered before they start their Umrah journey.
