If you are curious about the Halal status of the famous chicken restaurant, Nando’s, here is an explanation of the halal status of Nando’s chicken restaurant, which is famous for its fried chicken with lemon and herbs, served with varying levels of spiciness from their unique signature Peri – Peri sauce.

## **Is Nandos Halal or Haram?**

### Nandos is **Partially Halal**.

With only a few chicken restaurants that serve halal chicken, Nando’s are partially halal. In September 2019, Nando’s confirmed that not all of their chicken outlets were halal; out of 402 Nando’s restaurant branches in the UK, only 76 of them served halal chicken.

## **Evidence**

- This is confirmed by two official Nandos sites, [Site 1](https://www.nandosperiperi.com/help/food/does-nandos-serve-halal-chicken/) and [Site 2](https://www.nandos.co.uk/halal).

## **Is It Safe For Muslims To Eat?**

Nando’s official website states that their halal-only chicken restaurants are signposted both in the restaurant and online, so it is safe for Muslim customers to sample Nando’s menu.

## **Ending Note**

Although Nando’s is partially halal, if you are unsure about the halal status of Nando’s chicken restaurant near you, there’s nothing wrong with being cautious. The choice is entirely yours.
