## **Tawaf and Its Types**

Tawaf, derived from the Arabic word "Tauf," meaning to encircle or go round, involves walking seven times around the Kaaba in an anti-clockwise direction. This act symbolizes unity among Muslims and their submission to the will of Allah.

There are five main types of Tawaf:

1. **Tawaf-al-Umrah**: Performed during Umrah.
2. **Tawaf-al-Qudoom**: Part of Hajj Al Tamattu.
3. **Tawaf-al-Ifada**: Performed during Hajj.
4. **Tawaf-al-Widaa**: Farewell Tawaf for those leaving Mecca.
5. **Nafl Tawaf**: Optional Tawaf.

## **Significance of Supplication During Tawaf**

Tawaf is not just a physical act; it is a spiritual journey. It's a time when pilgrims connect deeply with Allah, presenting their needs, desires, and gratitude.

The significance of supplication during Tawaf is profound:

- **Symbol of Belief**: The circular motion of Tawaf symbolizes pilgrims' belief in the oneness of Allah.
- **Surrender to Allah**: Pilgrims equate each circumambulating with surrendering themselves entirely to Allah, devoting their hearts to worship.

## **Few Prayers of Tawaf**

During Tawaf, there are no specific prayers prescribed. Pilgrims have the freedom to recite verses from the Quran, take Allah's name, or offer personal prayers in any language. However, here are some recommended prayers:

- A dua that seeks Allah's blessings in this world and the Hereafter.
- A prayer for refuge from the Fire and well-being.
- A supplication for entry into paradise and safety from the Fire.

## **Conclusion**

Supplication during Tawaf is not just a ritual; it's a powerful connection with the Divine Allah. Tawaf's significance lies in its ability to unite millions of Muslims in faith, devotion, and prayer.

As pilgrims encircle the Kaaba, they symbolize their surrender to Allah, seeking blessings, forgiveness, and well-being in this world and the Hereafter. Tawaf is a spiritual journey, a reminder of faith, and an opportunity to connect with the Almighty through heartfelt prayers.
